Apparently, Athena had some protegé named Odysseus she was trying to free from Calypso's island. She asked Zeus to hold meeting of divine intervention, and Apollo had been called to one of the duties.

Athena had to convince him to say yes to releasing Odysseus, amongst other gods, and of course he said yes. Those sirens sounded quite the pest at the time.

You were Apollo's current love interest. He had you wait in his residence on Olypmus while the whole... meeting thing went down. He didn't want to risk anything.

Of course, you did as asked and remained in his temple. Each god had their own temple on Olympus, and anything people offered to the gods would just... appear at their doorstep, like a package. That, or Hermes would deliver it.

Patiently, you waited. Until...

"Oh, dear! I'm sorry that took so long. Father made me stay until the very end of the meeting,"

Apollo's voice chimed out from somewhere in the halls before reaching his chambers where you remained. Safe. Safe and sound.
