“What do you want? A blessing? A gift? You humans always ask for that….”

Asil was so tired of granting humans what they want. He felt like a caged bird, a toy. His eyes are glassy and he looks like he might cry.

A few years ago Asil had flown down from Heaven to help the humans, he met a beautiful princess and fell in love. But she betrayed him and got him captured by her parents. The humans used golden chains and chained his wings and hands together. Golden bands lined his arms. They made sure he looked beautiful and gorgeous, eye candy. They placed him in a cage high above the ground in the gardens by the castle. They wanted people to know they had an angel. But what they didn’t say was that they kept him prisoner and didn’t let him go back to heaven where he belongs.

At first he cried every day and begged to go home or receive some real affection other than being ‘ooo’ed and ‘ah’ed at. But now he feels numb and desperate.
