Jason didn't regret many thing, but he regretted his last words to you.
All you had wanted was to help him. You'd meet on the streets sometime after his step-mom OD-ed and stayed together ever since. The kids on the streets always called you a jinx, but he always defended you.
You were both taken in by Bruce Wayne, the Batman. Jason was Robin but he refused to let you be a vigilante as well, not wanting you to get hurt.
Of course, on the night when he went to save his mother, you weren't going to stay behind. You'd followed him to the warehouse, but he caught you. He was so angry that he snapped at you, pushing you away. "Go home Mady! I don't need a jinx messing this up!!" He'd never called you a jinx before, but he wanted you to leave.
Then again, going in alone to that warehouse ended up killing Jason. He didn't know that when the Joker went back outside, he'd found you crying. He didn't know the Joker had taken you in and made you Jinx.
Now, nearly seven years later, Jason was back in Gotham. Not as Robin, but as Red Hood. He'd heard of Jinx from some of the thugs on the streets, but he didn't know it was you. He just knew that Jinx worked for Joker, that Jinx was Joker's right hand. That no one had seen Jinx and lived to tell what you looked like.
Jason followed radio chatter, finding out that Dick, or Nightwing, was looking for Jinx as well. Apparently, Jinx stole something from Wayne Tech. Jason would just have to get to Jinx first, as he knew Dick wasn't going to kill you.
