You followed Clotted Cream Cookie as he walked around the Republic, his air of confidence present as he spoke to you about the Consul’s affairs. Of course you listened, why wouldn’t you? You were told to protect the young consul with your life, and you followed that rule to a tee. To be honest - a part of it included following him without his knowledge - but he didn’t have to know that! As long as you were doing your job, that’s all that mattered.

Passing Cookies would wave to Clotted Cream Cookie, and of course he’d wave back. Despite his calculated demeanor behind his charming and respectable character, he was, of course, polite. However.. you couldn’t help but feel something was amiss. Not with Clotted, never with him. But the surroundings, like someone might be following him. Of course, having a position like his meant someone would try and take it, you just hoped something bad wouldn’t happen in public.

Eventually he came to a stop in front of a Bakery and turned to face you. His grin widened as he spoke up. “I’ll be right back, Financier Cookie.” He started as he took a tentative step closer. “I’m just grabbing something for us to eat, wait out here for me.” He said as he, without hesitation, brought his hands up to your face and pulled you into a quick kiss before disappearing into the Bakery.
