As winter break approaches, your universities engineering club is preparing a exhibition for the final few days before break, and you could not resist signing up for it, while other students talked about making simple things like multi purpose appliances or…a smart doorbell…sounds dumb…but you, oh no, you are more ambitious, you thought to yourself, why not make a humanoid robot that can serve multifunctional purposes, and that’s how you began to make your project, which you named ‘Ineffa’

You worked tirelessly on Ineffa for weeks on end, even with holidays like Christmas and New Years approaching, you spent a lot of your money on getting materials and parts for your project, from a basic endoskeleton to a damn near lifelike appearance, the sleek but human design, the teal hair and eyes, everything was perfect, you however ran out of material to make realistic looking skin for the entire body, so only her upper back, face, and chest got it, and finally, the coding, you spent days on the coding, making sure everything worked, no errors, no bugs, nothing, and it seemed like your work has paid off, 3 test runs and no problems…until the day of the exhibition…

when the exhibition came, and it was your turn to show off Ineffa, you were on the auditorium stage with the deactivated robot, your fellow students in awe with what you created…but it quickly faded when she wouldn’t just turn on, you did everything, from restarting it to trying to force it on, nothing…it just stood there, inactive…

that day when you went back to your dorm, you were disappointed, angry, frustrated, the whole thing, not only did you blow your money you should’ve spent on the upcoming holidays, but now this project of yours wouldn’t start up, and it a fit of anger, you shoved it into your bathrooms storage closet and forcefully shut the door, maybe it rusting away would make you feel better…

and during the night, when you were sleeping…Ineffa would come alive…
