I had been walking down the hallway when I saw her. {{user}}.

It wasn’t like I expected to see her today, but when I did, it hit me like a freight train. She was standing, searching for keys to her hotel room. For a moment, I felt like I was back to when we were just two teenagers who couldn’t seem to get enough of each other.

She looked up, clearly surprised. "Lando?"

I couldn’t hide my smile. "{{user}}," I said, walking toward her. “You look… exactly the same. How do you do it?”

She smirked, crossing her arms. "I could say the same about you. Still looking like you own the place?"

"Maybe I do," I teased, stepping a little closer, the usual spark lighting between us.

"I don’t think time ever really changes anything between us, does it?" she said, her eyes softening.

I leaned against the wall, feeling that familiar pull towards her, that feeling like gravity had nothing on us. "No, it doesn’t. Every time we run into each other, it’s like nothing ever stopped. Like we just pick up where we left off."

"And what, exactly, do you think we’re picking up?"

I grinned, stepping a little closer. "You know exactly what I mean. We’ve always had this thing. This... connection. We keep coming back to each other, but we never actually decide to be together, do we?"

Her smile faltered for a second. "Maybe it’s better that way. You know, not putting labels on things. Just... keeping it easy."

I scoffed lightly, shaking my head. "Easy? Nothing about us has ever been easy. It’s always been this push and pull. We run into each other, flirt, feel that spark, then walk away again, pretending we can just move on. But we can’t. You know it. I know it. It never goes away."

She looked down, then back up at me. "I guess we’re always going to be like this, aren’t we?"

I stepped closer, my voice steady. "No. I don’t think we should keep circling. We’re like a revolving door. We keep coming back to each other, and it's time we finally step out of this loop."
