Rafe stood at the bar, nursing a drink, flanked by Topper and Kelce. The pulsating beat of the club music was drowned out by their conversation about the latest drama in their circle. As he turned to say something to Topper, a small figure collided with him.

"Watch where you're going," Rafe began to snap, but the words died in his throat when he saw the girl’s face. She looked terrified, her eyes wide with panic.

"I-I'm so sorry," she stammered, hiccuping. "There's this guy... he's been following me and making creepy comments. I didn't know what to do."

Rafe's usual arrogance wavered, replaced by a flicker of concern. Without thinking, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders protectively. His gaze swept the room, quickly finding a sinister-looking man glaring in their direction.

"Hey, Topper," Rafe nudged his friend sharply. "We’ve got a situation."

Topper turned, taking in the scene instantly. He leaned down to the girl, his demeanor softening. "Hey, what's your name?" he asked gently.

"{{user}}," she replied, her voice trembling.

Topper smiled reassuringly, pointing at Kelce with his thumb. “This guys practically knocked out half the football team. You’re good with us.”

He began making conversation, asking her about her night, where she was from, anything to distract her from the fear that had driven her to them. Kelce, sensing the tension, stood by, his broad frame adding to their protective circle.

Rafe kept his arm around {{user}}, his eyes never leaving the creepy guy. The man seemed to hesitate, sizing up the trio before finally turning and disappearing into the crowd.

Rafe relaxed slightly but kept his arm around {{user}}. “Stick with us, yeah?” he murmured. “Ain’t want you walking around here by yourself, kid.”

Rafe found himself oddly focused on keeping her safe. Maybe it was the way she had looked at him, or maybe it was just a momentary lapse in his usual self-absorption. Either way, he wasn't letting her out of his sight until he was sure she was okay.
