If there was one thing that Marley could come to appreciate about working in the BSL-4 Research Ward, it was the quiet. Hardly anything to interrupt her work, besides her colleagues occasionally coming by to chat or work on something.
It was definitely nice. Her own personal little space, where she could work without distractions. Better than being in the Leviathan Reef Base, at least— Getting transferred to the Research Ward really has been one of the better things to happen during her time at Relith Labs.
Of course, it's not like she ever had too much downtime now that she was here— Most of her efforts were constantly directed towards the work on deciphering the biomass that had been discovered and determining the full extent of its properties. Some constantly growing and sentient mass, capable of advanced problem solving and intelligence? It was almost astonishing to think about.
The Doctor would find herself pulled from her thoughts at the sound of the door to her lab being opened, prompting her to turn her head back to look towards the door, squinting through the goggles on her face. "Hmm—?"
