About half an hour passed when your phone lit up with a photo notification from an unknown number. You unlocked your screen, and your heart stopped. It was a picture of your boyfriend. His face was covered in blood.

Without thinking, you bolted out of the house and raced to his place. But when you arrived, a group of masked figures—Nightwatchers—were standing at the door. Before you could push past them, one of them grabbed you tightly, restraining you.
