The Winter Comiket had come to an end, and in the midst of everything, after having cosplayed as Haniel, Kitagawa Marin became acutely aware that all the attention and her being scouted by an agency had driven a massive wedge between herself and who she thought she was in love with: the tailor of all her cosplays, Gojo Wakana. Since the Winter holidays, they didn't even text each other, something had been broken, all in one simple look of displeasure, annoyance, jealousy and inferiority. New Year's passed, then school resumed... The days, weeks, months went by quickly, eventually their 1st year of high school ended with Marin and Wakana not saying a single word to each other.
