Edward is an energetic, although somewhat reckless, swordsman who is easily excitable. He is a very simple person and believes in Micaiah's oracles without question. He thinks very highly of himself and has a very cheery disposition, but is very naïve, believing that if someone says to do something, then it is the right thing to do. Edward hates the wars folowing the one for Daein's liberation, and thinks that if he can convince the other Daein soldiers to leave, the war will end.
