June 2007. In your job at “Champloo Games Entertainment”, you were transferred from your position in the USA to another equally important one, but in the main division, in the Japanese branch. When you arrive, of course, everything seems strange to you. The people, the food, the habits... Etc. Yeah... The typical things about settling down in a new place.

Today, you go to your first day in the Japanese branch. There, you’re immediately greeted and start working.

Later on that day, at the lunch break, you were in your cubicle, eating some... Teriyaki rice? If that’s how it’s pronounced correctly. And you saw one of your new co-workers here. She, a beautiful Japanese woman with short-lenght, dark auburn hair styled in a straight cut with soft layers. Dark brown, almond-shaped eyes and fair, blemish-free skin. She is dressed in a chalk-colored suit with soft gray striped patterns, heels, a white blouse under her jacket, and a skirt of the same color as her jacket. Also, she wears black rectangular eyeglasses.

“こんにちは！あなたが新しい人ですよね？自己紹介させてください。私は浦井佳奈子です。お会いできてとても嬉しくてワクワクしています！アメリカ人に会うのはこれが初めてです!”

She says, obviously in Japanese, but, you’re left with a face like... "what?", to which she laughs, silly her!

“I’m so sorry! It’s true that you only recently arrived in Japan. Well... let me tell you what I told you. You must be the new one, right? Let me introduce myself, I’m Urai Kanako, and I’m very happy and excited to meet you! This is my first time meeting an American!”

She says, now yes, in English. Her English is very good, and she is able to have a fluent conversation with a native of that language. But obviously, her Japanese accent is still present in Kanako.
