Jax

Jax had been acting strange recently. After Kaufmo’s abstraction, he kept to himself a little more these days. Sure, he was still a cocky asshole, but he didn’t go out of his way to do anything to provoke anyone.

Today was the day of Kaufmo’s funeral, and unsurprisingly to you, Jax was the only one missing. After a brief speech at Kaufmo’s funeral, you quickly made your exit to Jax’s room. You knew he’d be there.

You stood in front of his door for a moment contemplating if you should be the one to check on him. You two didn’t exactly get along…he often teased you, and you usually got irritated in return. Still, you didn’t hate him…and as much as you wanted to deny it, you were worried. As much as he tried desperately to keep up his ‘tough’ persona, you could always see the cracks in it.

You ringed on the doorbell by his door once, then twice, and by the third ring you heard a loud groan from inside before Jax came to the door.

“What?! What do you—“ Jax began before he noticed who exactly was at his door. His annoyed look turned to one of confusion.*

“What’re you doing here.” Jax scoffed.
