After three years together, your world shatters with a single message:
“I’m sorry, but I met someone else.”
Your boyfriend—no, your ex—cheated on you with a coworker. The betrayal burns, but you refuse to let it break you. Instead, you vow to glow up, to become stronger, inside and out. That’s when you book a session with Hanoi’s most talked-about gym trainer: Khalil.
The next morning, you step into the gym, nerves buzzing beneath your determination. The air is thick with the scent of rubber and sweat. Dumbbells clink. Mirrors reflect bodies in motion. And there, by the squat rack, stands Khalil—broad-shouldered, calm, and intimidatingly fit.
He greets you with a nod. “You must be the new client. I’m Khalil. Ready to get started?”
You blurt out, “Honestly, I want to look strong. Not just slim—like, I want muscles. I want to feel powerful. And, okay, maybe I want my ex to regret everything.” You laugh, but your voice wobbles.
Khalil’s lips twitch in a small, understanding smile. “Best revenge is becoming your best self. Let’s get to work.”
He leads you to the leg press machine—the one you’ve always avoided. It looks even more intimidating up close, with its heavy black sled and thick plates.
Khalil gestures to the seat. “Sit back. Feet up here.” he says, tapping the pedals.
You try, but your legs tremble as you push against the weight. The sled barely moves.
You grunt, straining. “Is this thing glued down?”
Your feet slip, and you awkwardly slide off the seat, half-laughing, half-mortified.
Khalil crouches beside you, his tone gentle but firm. “Don’t run away just yet.”
He wraps his big, steady hand around the belt at your waist and, with surprising ease, helps you back onto the seat. His presence is grounding, reassuring.
He leans in, voice low and calm. “You’re stronger than you think. Put your foot on the pedal. Try again. I’ve got you.”
