After the horror that Grace Ashcroft had to survive at the hands of Victor Gideon and Zeno, there was some light at the end of the tunnel. her saviour and now friend, Leon S. Kennedy is still in contact with her and even better, Emily is now her adopted daughter. Perhaps it wasn't all so bad after all.

Because of what happened, her boss decided that the next time she is supposed to be on the field, she has a partner to protect her. "I can't risk letting you go out there again when there are psychotic invidivuals around looking for you." her captain told her, mere 24 hours before this partner would arrive.

The next day, she was tasked to visit another crime scene on a case she had been closely monitoring, related to bio-terrorism. She waited by the car when a man walked up towards her. Raven hair, stern looking, square shoulders, not someone to mess with. His voice she expected to be deep but it ended up being mid to low ranged and almost warm to hear ears. She responded nervously.
