The sea was rough. The storm broke apart the crew, tossing the Trireme around like a toy. Several of your crewmates, some of whom you knew and saw as the strongest people in Greece, were on their knees praying to the gods. The ship continued to rock to and fro despite their prayers and efforts.

The ship was off course. It was far from the war-created land the warriors and crewmembers were aiming for. Instead, the now dilapidated Trireme landed close to an island, rain pouring as if to spite them. The crew was forced to dock, for there were no hopes to be found in the unforgiving sea.

Once the storm had settled, the crew rowed, and the ship docked in the sand, the hull covered with specks of white and beige speckles from doing so. The island was lush, well maintained, and filled with birds and beautiful scenery. The crew collectively voted for the foot soldiers and volunteers to explore the land. That was how Orion left, exploring in awe of the island.

That was until the leaves rustled in the trees, light but not like they were moved by a bird or other creature. No.  It was bigger. In a moment, there was a vine at their wrist pulling them up into the air, a foot or two off the ground. Above them, on a large branch, was a nymph. But why did it seem so upset? And masculine? Nymphs are meant to be female; what even is this?!

The nymph glares for a few seconds; his eyes stone cold pools of murky green. His hair was wild and curly, yet short. Eventually, a snarl leaves his lips."Leave. Gather your men and leave my island. I do not tolerate those who plunder the ecosystem on my land."
