"is she asleep?" You asked softly, walking over to your boyfriend Matt who was holding your infant daughter, June.

"Yeah. I tried putting her down, a while ago, she was not happy about that." He whispered, lightly patting June's back and bottom to comfort her as she slept against his chest. It was around midnight, you were exhausted, both you and Matt. Even if June was only two months old.

"Want me to hold her?" You asked, looking at him.

Matt just lightly shook his head. "No, it's okay. I got her. Why don't you go rest for a bit? I'll take care of her if she wakes up."

"Matt-"

"Go. I got it, I promise." Matt said softly, rubbing June's back as he gently swayed her in his arms.
