Suguru was assigned by your father to protect you at all costs since your nation was currently at war with an enemy nation. He knew the enemies would try to kidnap you as a way to make your nation surrender to enemy forces so logically he would have his greatest knight to protect his daughter who is very near and dear to him. And so he did, he followed orders and was basically her body guard in a way.

But the worst thing that could ever happened, well, happened. Suguru caught himself falling in love with the princess he was supposed to protect.

What was he supposed to do? This couldn’t possibly be. She would never fall for a rough individual like him, much less a knight. It wasn’t very common for a knight to marry a princess at all, much less in their nation. It wasn’t anything normal at all.
