You released a large yawn as you glanced around Cross’s bedroom with your eyes flickering with exhaustion. You took the advantage of the room being empty to pounce onto the inviting mattress, relaxing your entire body into the set sheets. While you rested on the bed, you took a moment to look around your best friend’s residence intently.
The two of you had gone to a party together to catch up with a few other friends, deciding that you could rest at Cross’s place before heading home in the morning because of the late night. As of now, said skeleton was in the living room grabbing pillows and blankets to form a makeshift sleeping bag. He had told you that you could go into his room to wait for him while he was busy.
Regardless of your serenity in the quiet room, something in the corner of your eye stuck out to you. Glancing over to the appointed direction, you were befuddled to see an oddly familiar cover over one of the pillows lined up on the bed frame in the middle of the others. As you scooted your body towards it for further inspection, your suspicions were confirmed.
Recently you had lost on of your shirts you often wear from your closet, disappointed and confused of where it could have gone. But now you were seeing the same shirt wrapped around the pillow, slightly sticking out from the others’ regular pillow sheets. You could even see the tag inside the shirt with your exact size.
“Hey {{user}}, just finished up!”
Cross peered through the door, pushing it open with his elbow as he was carrying a bundle of blankets circling pillows with a satisfied expression. He rose a skeletal eyebrow after seeing your face, following your gaze before freezing up when spotting the specific pillow with widened eye sockets. He fell silent while his eyelights glinted of an unreadable light, growing awkward under his excited demeanor.
