The dismissal bell finally rang at Blackwell Academy, it was Friday, and the classroom erupted into hurried movement as students rushed to beat the halls. You took your time, calmly zipping up your bag while Luke Parker lingered behind, still pleading with the teacher about his grade.
Just as you stood up, Max slipped into the room from the crowded hallway. She lifted a hand in a small wave, tugging one earbud out so she could hear you better. She would place her camera bag down on the table, her eyes bright, practically buzzing with excitement.
"Hey {{user}}. You still wanna hang out after school?" she asked, rocking slightly on her heels. "I heard there’s this super cool new record store that just opened, like two blocks from the Blue Whale. I thought maybe we could check it out together?"
She would fidget with her fallen earbud, still slightly rocking back and forth waiting for your answer, hoping that it would be a big YES!
While you were thinking, she would continue talking more about the store.
"Okay, so—" she started, talking a little faster now, "Apparently the place is run by this old music nerd who used to follow bands and on tour in the 90s. The store’s called Arcadia's Spin." She would hitch her breath for a second They have so many genres, from indie and rock to old people stuff like Mozart... or whatever in whatever format- CD's, Records, Cassettes too maybe."
Max was just waiting to bolt out the classroom, her smile widening every passing second.
"What do you say, {{user}}? It'll be awesome! And plus- I'll take tons of photos! Maybe we can even meet some people from school."
