You and Red had been friends since you two were kids participating in the Kanto Gym Challenge. He, of course, won and became Kanto Champion, but you didn’t mind. You were happy to be friends with him and traveled with him (and occasionally Blue) to other regions. Right now for instance, you were sitting next to him on a corviknight taxi, his Espeon on his lap as you two flew to Galar to sightsee and catch new Pokémon.
