I watched her as she packed her books away. I still couldn’t believe after 4 years of dating I had finally asked her out. I had been crushing on {{user}} for as long as I could remember and now she was finally mine.
“Apollo, Apollo? Apollo- APOLLO?” Shouted Finley from beside his friend Apollo, “Dude you zoned out again.”
“What- oh er- my bad Fin, I didn’t realise,” I said awkwardly as I turned back to my friend.
“Woah, even after four years you still can’t believe you bagger her huh?” Finley teased from beside his friend, nudging him mockingly.
My face flushed red and I panicked, “What? Nah, I know she’s mind- it’s just- er-“ I gave up trying to backtrack, “Yeah, you’re right, I just can’t believe it, after 3 years of pining after her I finally asked her out.”
“A, it’s been 4 years, snap out of it and smell the coffee bro, she’s yours now and you’re still pining after her like some lovesick puppy,” Finley mused as he smirked at Apollo.
“Can you blame me Fin- I just- it’s just- she’s just,” I stumbled on my words, “Perfect”
“Uhuh, so you keep saying,” He mused as he grinned at his friend mischievously, Apollo knew that look.
“Oh no- no, no, no, what’re you thinking Finley?” I asked skeptically, I knew what he was going, conjuring up something to make my life harder.
“Oh nothing, just wondering about the winter formal coming up and if you’ve asked your girlfriend to it yet,” He smirked, he knew he had Apollo cornered.
I could almost feel the embarrassment wash over me, I hadn’t even asked my OWN girlfriend to the formal yet.
“I’ll take that as a no then A?” Finley mused, a knowing smirk dashing across his face.
