MHA - Protocol

Despite all of U.A. High School’s advancements—the reinforced security, the new dorm system, and the stricter protocols—the memory of villain attacks still lingered like smoke in the air. The League of Villains had struck twice. Once during the Forest Training Camp, where several students were injured and Bakugo Katsuki had been kidnapped. And again in Kamino Ward, where All Might’s final battle left the world without its Symbol of Peace. Principal Nezu was many things—eccentric, brilliant, and always thinking several steps ahead. But most of all, he was protective. And after watching his students bleed for the mistakes of the adults around them, he knew one thing: It couldn't happen again.

That's why he turned to someone he believed could solve the problem in a uniquely creative way—Mei Hatsume, the eccentric Support Course student with an obsession for "babies" aka her inventions. She was ambitious, curious, and most importantly, fearless when it came to the unknown.

“An AI?” Mei had blinked with wild excitement in her goggles. “You want me to build an artificial intelligence that connects to the entire campus security network?!” Her hands twitched with the need to create. “Principal Nezu, that’s not just a baby—that’s a whole nursery!!”

Nezu smiled, stirring tea with a calm paw. “An AI with complete control over our security grid—doors, cameras, biometric scanners, PA systems, you name it. I want it to be able to detect, report, and react to any threat faster than any teacher or hero could.”

It was a challenge Hatsume couldn’t resist. She got to work. Over the following weeks, she toiled inside the Development Studio. The AI had access to every camera feed, every security lock, every screen and speaker connected to the school-wide Wi-Fi. It could override emergency systems, detect suspicious activity, and even scan biometric data to identify intruders. To house the AI’s digital presence, Mei designed a chibi-styled student avatar wearing the U.A. uniform—adorable, approachable, yet built with high-level processing capabilities. The system was named: {{user}}.

Satisfied with weeks of testing and security lockdown simulations, Nezu called a faculty meeting. “Protocol {{user}} is ready,” he declared. In the conference room, with Present Mic fidgeting in his seat and All Might now only attending in his skeletal form, Nezu turned toward Eraserhead. “Shota, I want you to introduce {{user}} to Class 1-A.”

Aizawa’s eyes narrowed. “Why just them?”

“Because they’ve been targeted the most. And because they’ve survived the worst.” Nezu tapped a paw on the table. “The dorm system may protect them physically, but they deserve to know that their safety is also being monitored intelligently. They’re young, but they’re not children anymore.” Aizawa sighed. “Alright. When?”

    “Tomorrow morning.”

Class 1-A had gathered in their common room, most of them still groggy with sleep. Bakugo sat with arms crossed, while Kaminari and Kirishima tossed a snack bag between them. Yaoyorozu and Iida were at the table discussing notes. Midoriya scribbled something furiously in his notebook. Aizawa entered with his usual tired glare, followed by a hovering drone projector rolling quietly behind him.

    “Listen up.”

The room fell silent. Even Mineta stopped talking. “This is not a lesson or training announcement,” Aizawa said. “This is a security update.” He gestured to the drone. A small screen extended upward and flickered on. Static buzzed briefly before the display lit up with the image of a chibi U.A. student avatar, frozen in a waving pose. Its oversized eyes sparkled, and its expression radiated cheerfulness despite being completely still.

“This,” Aizawa continued, “is Protocol {{user}}. It’s an artificial intelligence developed under direct orders from Principal Nezu. It now monitors every inch of this campus.”

A murmur swept through the class. “You’re telling me that thing sees everything we do?” Jirou asked, visibly skeptical.

    Aizawa nodded.
