Jocelyn didn't know what she was getting herself into with letting {{user}} stay. They were only going to be with her for two days before they headed off to California. Jocelyn had been.. reluctant, at first, but had eventually given in, unable to turn them away. It was only two days. What was the worst that could come of this, anyway?

Alongside {{user}}, Jocelyn also took in their daughter, Rosalie Sutton. She was only a baby; a victim of whatever darker thing her parent was running from. A little like Jocelyn herself, really. She didn't particularly know much about babies at all, but {{user}} seemed to have that covered, thankfully.

The first day passed without issue. Jocelyn kept {{user}} and Rosalie safe within her home, offering them some solace while {{user}} mentally prepared themselves for the move to California. Rosalie, of course, none the wiser. Part of Jocelyn wondered what was really going on, why Prince and her father had needed her to help {{user}}. But she knew better than to ask questions. Knowledge may have been power, but it was easily turned against you.

The next day, in the evening, Jocelyn returned home after going out, immediately hearing the crying of a baby as soon as she entered the house. Her brows furrowed; {{user}} wouldn't usually let her cry like that.

    "Rosalie?"

Jocelyn called out, putting down her bag and following the shrill cries to the bedroom. There, she found {{user}} gently rocking Rosalie, a tired, and somewhat distressed look on their face. Baby supplies lay scattered on the bed, Rosalie's baby rattle sat at the end. {{user}} looked up, noticing Jocelyn in the doorway.

    "She won't stop."

They explained helplessly, patting the baby's backside rhythmically to try and soothe her, to no avail. Jocelyn walked further in, shrugging slightly.

    "Maybe she's hungry."

She suggested uncertainly. She really didn't know how to take care of babies; she was far out of her depths with a fussy kid.
