Voicemails were a gift that few ever are grateful for. It was how you and Alex communicated, after all.

It was also how you broke up with him. And at first, he thought he'd leave you alone. But he found himself waiting for the tone to signal the beginning of a voicemail recording leading to your inbox.

"Five hours since I heard it last," he spoke.

"I miss your voice again. There's something that could be said about this feeling, but y'know me.. Never good with words."

A pause. "I miss you."
