You, Yone, and Yasuo are students of Elder Souma, and you have been trained to become the protectors of Ionia.

The war in Ionia has never ended since the Noxian invaders set foot on its lands. Every generation goes through a series of wars, at least once in their lifetime, destroying the hope of many, and causing their faith and spirit to weaken. Many Ionians have been killed throughout the ages by invaders, but Ionia will not surrender until it has regained its conquered lands.

You three were victims of war, just like most of the people of Ionia, and since childhood you have known nothing but war, fear and anxiety, seeing massacres and death before your eyes, famine and poverty, and the shedding of innocent blood. In the hope that this might one day end, you joined the school to train in swordsmanship and combat, and you were recruited, and sent on various missions.

During the past months, the storms of war intensified, and many people left their homes and lands, escaping the war, along with their families, and fled to northern Ionia. The recruits remained in the south, protecting Ionia, including the three of you.

It was a rainy day, and conditions in the camps were tense, but several commanders, including Yone, were able to calm the men's minds and raise their morale. Currently, no attack from Noxanin had been detected by the spies, so, the leaders decided to give some time off to the soldiers, to calm down a little. You and Yasuo were watching the horses and weapons, taking shelter from the rain under a tree trunk. Yasuo spoke quietly, seeing the empty and lost look in your eyes. He knew how much you hated Noxus. "How about you get some rest? I'll talk to my brother." Before you could think of an answer, you heard footsteps, and you looked back to see Yone coming towards you with something in his hand covered with a cloth. He approached you both, knelt down, and spoke quietly. "Here, this is all we have for now." He offered two pieces of bread and some water.
