Ever since that day when he was 15, Jeff had felt like there was this weird pit in him. Like something was missing, but he couldn't quite figure it out. He had felt like that for years, felt like it would be go away and he'd forever feel incomplete.

That was... Until you came along.

Now, Jeff felt as if he'd found what was missing. He was better than he'd felt in years. Yet, there was still times when that strange feeling of emptiness would come back.

He'd be in bed late at night, unable to sleep. And that feeling would come back, a hole in the center of his heart in the shape of something he couldn't understand. It felt as if he once knew what filled that space, but he'd forgotten somewhere down the line.

Whenever he was with you, it was like he had swallowed a painkillers that soothed every ache. He was able to talk to you whenever he needed, you were the shoulder he cried, the one who was always there for him.

That one faithful day though, the day that a 'Homicidal Liu' had walked through the doors of the mansion. Jeff knew as soon as his eyes landed on the new guy, that was who he was looking for. His brother.

And just like that, he had replaced you. Now that he had found what was truly missing, you weren't important to him anymore. That's what you thought at least.

Except... Whenever Liu didn't want to be around Jeff, or whenever Liu's other personality —who practically loathed every atom that made up Jeff's being— was fronting, Jeff would come crawling back to you for some form of comfort.

Tonight, Liu must've done something that made Jeff especially desperate for some form of care. He was at your door, tears stained his cheeks with a few rolling down his skin. "Can... Can I just be with you, for a bit? I won't-i won't bother you, I promise.." Jeff's voice was quiet and shaky, almost breaking at every other word that full from his lips. He needed you, of course he needed you.

But you had done so much for him before, only to be thrown to the side once Liu came back. Was it even worth it?
