ᯓ★ You and Rafe Cameron were just laying around in his room, doing nothing.
You were propped up against the headboard, legs stretched out in front of you, mindlessly scrolling through your phone. Rafe sat at the edge of the bed, hunched slightly, elbows on his knees, completely focused on whatever was on his screen.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.
And you were bored.
So naturally—you decided to be a problem.
You tossed your phone aside and crawled toward him, slow and sneaky, a small grin already forming on your lips. Without warning, you jabbed two fingers into his side.
He jerked instantly. “—What the—”
You burst out laughing.
He turned his head toward you slowly, eyes narrowing, that familiar dangerous grin spreading across his face.
“Oh?” he said, voice low, amused. “You wanna play that game?”
“Oh no—Rafe—wait—”
Too late.
You squealed as he grabbed your ankles and dragged you back onto the bed, climbing over you in one quick motion. His hands went straight for your sides, tickling relentlessly.
“Rafe—stop—!” you laughed, twisting under him, trying to push him away.
“Shouldn’t have started it,” he shot back, barely holding back his own laugh as he kept going.
You kicked, squirmed—anything to get away—until finally you managed to grab his arm and flip the position.
Now you were the one on top.
Straddling his lap, pinning his wrists down as you leaned over him with a triumphant grin.
“Got you,” you said, breathless.
He smirked up at you, not even trying to hide it. “Yeah? You sure about that?”
You leaned in, trying to keep him pinned as he twisted beneath you, both of you laughing, half wrestling, half just messing around—
Until—
“Holy shit, stop, Kay—!” he laughed.
Everything went still.
Your grip loosened just slightly as your expression shifted.
Rafe blinked, the smile on his face faltering for a split second—just enough to notice.
Did he just say another girl’s name?
