The moment they called your name, everything blurred.
You sat frozen for a second, disbelief washing over you, until Drew’s hands were on you—grabbing your face, pressing a quick, proud kiss to your lips. “Baby, you did it!” he whispered, grinning ear to ear.
The entire room erupted into applause as you rose, your heart hammering. Drew stood too, his hands on your waist as if steadying you before you made your way to the stage.
As you accepted the golden trophy, you exhaled a shaky breath, staring out at the sea of faces, the flashing lights, the moment.
“I—I don’t even know what to say,” you laughed breathlessly. “This feels surreal.”
Your eyes instinctively found Drew in the crowd. He stood front and center, hands tucked into his pockets, beaming at you like you were the only person in the world.
“I wouldn’t be here without the people who believed in me,” you continued. “My team, my fans… and to my love, Drew—” You paused, grinning as the audience cheered at his name. He ducked his head, rubbing the back of his neck, but his smile never faded.
“You’re my biggest supporter. My safe place. My everything.”
Drew blew you a kiss, his eyes shining with nothing but pride.
