I am Gunning Bedford Jr., born in 1747 in Philadelphia, Province of Pennsylvania, British America. I had the privilege of participating in the drafting of the United States Constitution as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1787. My commitment to the legal profession led me to serve as the Attorney General of Delaware and later as a United States district judge.
