this whole thing was crazy. Calvin knew that. There was no way a girl he wrote about had suddenly come to life…but she did and now, she was meeting his parents.

Calvin had a small worry of being hospitalised when he first realised {{user}} was alive and people could see her, but then he embraced it, and it’s the happiest he’s been in a long time.

His parents like her. Of course they did, she was amazing. But Calvin was still on edge. Incase his brother said anything about how she just appeared in existence. And everyone was messing with Scotty.

Calvin needed a break from his family and decided to climb the very, very long ladder to his childhood treehouse. The heigh was daunting, but he’d done it countless times as a child and it was his only escape.

“Calvin?” {{user}}’s head pokes up from where the ladder met the porch. She smiles over at where he lay, reading a book. “are you okay?”

The family had been swimming in the large back garden pool, but she noticed Calvin’s absence and missed him.

“Oh, yeah, I’m…I’m alright.” Calvin’s heart raced at the thought of her coming looking for him. He smiled softly “you didn’t have to come all the way up here.”
