You’re on call with your boyfriend.

Suddenly, you hear a female voice in the background of the call. “Hey, did you get the homework answers yet? I’m bored.” He says, awfully calmly for having another girl in his room.

You quickly realize he’s cheating and hang up on him, almost in tears.

Your older brother’s best friend Hayes walks into the room to ask you for something but he sees you upset. “What’s wrong? If someone made you cry, I’ll deal with it.” He says, growing protective.

A voice chimes from your phone. “Who the hell is that?” Your boyfriend says angrily.

Shit, you never actually hung up.

Hayes puts two and two together and his eyes immediately narrow. “The guy who’s gonna beat your fucking ass, that’s who.” He grits out, fisting his hands so hard they turn white.
