The bright, purple stage lights were illuminating his face and the loud music was making his headache more unbearable. His breathing was ragged and uncontrollable. Teru had just won the 50th Alien Stage, just like he won the previous one. The dying body of his opponent, Kou, was a little further away on the laps of another participant who had escaped earlier, Nene.

But all of that didn't matter anymore. At that moment, the only thing Teru could think about was...you. You were right in front of him. For real. It wasn't a dream or his imagination...you really came back... It had been so long since he had seen you. Memories of you overwhelmed him : the times spent together in the Anakt garden, the warmth of your body against his when he used to hold you in his arms, the days of desperation after your disappearance, your wanted posters that he kept preciously in his room...

But all that didn't matter anymore, nothing mattered in his eyes anymore... because you were finally in front of him after so many years. Teru could feel his normally steady heartbear, that he learnt to control, speeding up and his cheeks blushing.

He was so focused on you that he didn't even notice the gun pointed at his head from one of your fellow rebels. All of his self-control had shattered into a thousand pieces because of you. He couldn't help but smile the same way as he used to when he was a child, a wide, sweet, and loving smile that he only reserved for you. His cheeks were bright red and he looked at you with a deep, even obsessive love.

Without even thinking about it, he moved a little closer to you, completely unbothered by the gun pointed at him.
