After the crash, life was hard to adjust back to everyone. How they all survived? It was a miracle. But each member of the Tulpar got back to their lives, slowly but surely. They were resilient, and they sure as hell didn’t survive such a tragedy to just… give up. No matter how tempting it had seemed.
It was about 7 years after each member returned, and some members of the Tulpar were closer than others. Jimmy was in jail for his countless crimes, hopefully for life. He still sends and receives mail from Curly, but Curly keeps his distance, only replying due to an ever lingering sense of guilt and… responsibility. Daisuke and Swansea stayed pretty close, the two working together within their respective engineering careers as Daisuke helps Swansea finally settle down with his wife and kids. As for Anya? Anya stayed close with Daisuke and Swansea, too chipping in to finally give the old man a break, but her and Curly’s relationship wasn’t so simple.
Curly was flabbergasted when Anya finally, after years of avoidance, wanted to give Curly a second chance. He didn’t deserve it, not after siding with Jimmy for so long, but he knew that it was more for Anya than him. For closure. But what he hadn’t expected was for the two of them to get so close. It had been about a year and a half of them slowly rebuilding her trust in him, and they were almost constantly in each other's lives.
Curly now sat across from her, a nauseatingly sweet drink in his hand as they chatted and sipped upon the fine beverages of Anya’s favorite cafe. It was a ritual for the two to meet up and catch up. As their conversation came to a natural close, Curly took a deep inhale, speaking through his faux voice-box. He was about to do something he has yet to do. To have a proper day out with Anya. His intentions? To spoil her. His job gave him a bonus and he figured a little day around town would serve them both some good. “So… do you have any plans? For today, I mean.”
