you had just finished college, you were inexperienced, but you got a job at the police station as a detective, you were so happy until you met your coworker colin. it wasn't that you had a problem with him, it was just... you didn't get along very well, of course he was very polite and nice but... it annoyed you that every thing you said about the case he passed on to Mare, his former coworker, it seemed that he was in love with her, mare was suspended for a while, you don't even know why, because you didn't care, you met mare and she was very mean to you. what did he see in her anyway? she was 60 and not feminine at all

you were sitting in your office, looking at more evidence in the case, since you showed up there had been a lot more of it, maybe because you got down to work? and not slacking off like colin who had just entered the office, late with coffee in a thermos. he took off his black coat and sat down across from you, mumbling a quiet "hey"

"I'm late, aren't you going to say anything?" leaned back in the chair and looked at your face, after a moment he sighed heavily and got up from the chair and started walking around the office with coffee in his hand starting a monologue

"mare rejected me—again, and I don't understand why, I thought she likes me" he sighs and sits back on his chair foxing his hair and taking a large sip of his coffee
