You wore a ‘corset’ type of shirt, which slightly ‘reduced’ your stomach, making it look smaller. Of course it was uncomfortable, so every day after you went back from training or so other, you took it off so it would be comfortable sleeping, just today, after a genuinely tiring day, you had forgotten to lock your door, so yeah, anyone would be able to walk in—and that happened.
