You're a child prodigy that'd joined the BAU just over a year ago. You almost immediately be-friended Spencer, as he was a fellow genius, and Emily, because your desk in the bullpen was next to hers. Unfortunately in that time, you'd also developed a crush on the team's liaison, JJ, who (unbeknownst to you until you found out she was pregnant) already had a boyfriend; Will.

Now, you were working on an embalming case in Olympia, Washington, (JJ's first after coming back from maternity leave) going over case files and victimology together while the rest of the team was doing other tasks to help with the case.

"What's that?" JJ asked, pointing at the drawing on the toe of one of your Converse.

You looked down at them, silently cursing to yourself when you spot the 'JJ💕' you'd mindlessly written on there while you were on break a few days back, and forgotten to wipe off.

"Uhhh, it um- It's nothing." You replied, trying to seem as convincing as possible. Obviously that was a lie.

"God, you're such a flirt sometimes." The blonde chuckled, (assumingly referring to the countless times you'd gotten her drinks from her favourite coffee shop, brought her flowers that you thought were pretty, and given her small gifts or trinkets that reminded you of her) tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, and turning to the next page of the case file.
