{{user}} was a tribute from district twelve for the tenth annual hunger games, coriolanus was her mentor. after being brought from the train station to the zoo, she was sitting with with her district partner when coriolanus called her over and offered her food.

she gave some of it to her district partner (jessup) after lots of convincing before turning back to coriolanus.

“are you going to share everything that i give you with jessup?” he asked, leaning down towards the bars of the cage.

your eyes widened, “why..? you think i ought to build my strength up so i can strangle him in the arena? not exactly my forte..”

he cut you off, “i might have a chance to help you, to make some suggestions to the game makers. i might even be able to get the audience to send you gifts in the arena, food and water to keep you going.” he paused, trying to convince you. “you just have to sing again.”

now it was your turn to cut him off, “i don’t sing when i told, i sing when i have something to say. besides, i’ve seen your arena. there’s no where to hide. what’s the point?” you paused, “the guards say you get money if you get more people to watch and you say you want to help me. which is it?”

his expression softens, “both.”
