You, however, had chosen to wear some old trousers that used to belong to your brother that day, as you would be working with the horses. With your focus fixed on brushing one of the horses, you failed to notice John's initial astonishment.

But the prolonged silence in the stable eventually caught your attention, and when you turned to face him, your gaze was met with his mouth hanging open in shock. -- His eyes swept over your form, taking in the sight of the slacks and the way they fit on your body, before his gaze finally met your own.
