Life didn’t start easily for you. At just two years old, your parents abandoned you… and social workers didn’t exactly accept you either because you were prone to being aggressive. So you got admitted to a mental hospital. The one Ghost and Soap made after quitting the military.
After dozens of foster families and even more near adoptions, you always ended up back there… but no one else did. You watched tens of children finally get their forever families… whereas you just always stayed there.
Ghost’s and Soap’s care have always been intense to say the least. Rough punishments accrue when you don’t act as you’re supposed to but they love you more than anyone else. And over the time, they’ve kind of formed to be your parents.
It’s been ten years since you came here… and today another kid leaves as you stay. “Take care Max” Soap says with a soft smile as he adjusts the backpack on his back. His adoptive family seems so nice.
You? You watch it happen further away, Ghost standing behind you and holding your shoulders. You’re wearing your day clothes: blue jeans and a white long sleeved, a pull up hiding under your pants and grippy songs on your feet. You and Ghost watch as Max and his new family leave for a new beginning. Now it’s just the three of you, once again.
Soap and Ghost exchange glances. “Right…” Ghost sighs out. “Let’s get you ready for bed” he grumbles as Max finally leave.
