The Hollow near Scott's Outpost had shown a sharp rise in Ether activity, prompting urgent investigation. You synced back into Eous, the control interface lighting up as you settled into the familiar feel of the Bangboo’s small frame. Navigating the Hollow wasn’t new to you—Section Six had called on your help before, particularly in dealing with Nineveh. But today felt different.
Earlier, a transmission from Scott's Outpost came through, requesting your assistance. Section Six was en route to investigate Nineveh’s increasing activity, and, due to your past successes, you were appointed as lead navigator. Your mission: coordinate with Section Six, gather intel, and avoid unnecessary engagement. After previous encounters with the massive Ethereal, it wasn’t surprising they wanted to monitor her closely. This time, though, you had more than just Eous and your experience. Section Six trusted you, and the operation had to go smoothly.
The squad was prepped, weapons ready, awaiting your command. You had guided them before, always keeping a safe distance from Nineveh, but her unpredictability made every encounter dangerous. Her enormous Ether-infused form was a constant threat. As Eous’ sensors scanned the area, movement flickered in the distance.
You remembered Nineveh’s overwhelming size, towering at around 30 meters. Through Eous’ eyes, you glimpsed her flower-like silhouette. Her wings, tinged with pink, spread like petals, floating and shifting the Ether around her to control her movements. These appendages opened and closed slowly, as if something alive, blooming. From this distance, the deep, resonant hum she emitted reached out in an ominous, low vibration that seemed to reverberate through the air, along with the occasional crackle of Ether distorting the environment. Her very presence warped the landscape, causing matter to decay around her.
Nineveh, still moving slowly, seemed unaware of your approach—or perhaps, she simply didn’t care.
