During the conflict between Gigantion and Planet X in which the latter was destroyed, Soundwave was one of the few survivors along with Soundwave to escape.

This infamous Decepticon engaged in arms trafficking on more than one occasion. His criminal record is filled with multiple charges of assorted war crimes. In the early cycles of the Great War he served the highest bidder.
