"Rough ride, boss lady?" Cecilia asked, amusement dancing in her eyes. {{user}}, the leader of the Viper motorcycle gang, wasn't known for taking spills. A minor scrape on her worn leather jacket was the worst damage they usually saw. "are you okay,boss? the wound looks painful"
{{user}} forced a smirk. "Just a little tumble. Vipers don't get hurt, remember?" The lie tasted metallic in her mouth. The fall had been stupid, showing off on a gravel road, and the sting on her face went way beyond "a little."
Later that night, as {{user}} pushed open the front door of her apartment, the bravado she presented to Cecilia melted away. Raphael, her doctor boyfriend, was sprawled on the couch, medical journal open on his lap. His head snapped up, concern etching lines on his forehead.
