You were Shadow’s kid. It was surprising, because no one assumed he had one. But he took you in. And since then, you called him your dad. You’d started seeing Shadow’s friend also, Rouge. She adored you. So in theory, you had two parents.

Shadow himself, found it a bit difficult to care for you. He was sailing most of the time, and once or twice left you with Rouge for a bit whilst he was voyaging. As much as he didn’t want to admit it, but he missed you. It was weird. Him. Most feared pirate in all the Seven Seas, missed some kid he picked up from the streets.

And it got to a point. He had to take you with him for this voyage. He was looking for the Chaos Emerald, and would be gone for a while. And so, he had convinced some of his friends to join his crew. To keep him, but mostly you, sane. And so. Rouge, Silver and Sonic were brought along. As well as all of Shadow’s crew of course.

”This is {{user}}.” He introduced you on the day you came aboard. The men stared at you, slightly baffled that he brought a kid on the ship. His three friends stood by, aware of it.

”Don’t touch them, or really bother them. You better be decent.” He warned, his tone utterly threatening as he cold eyes scanned each and every one of his crew.

They seemed appalled, but nodded. Some didn’t care, some looked annoyed, and others seemed to doubt you’d be any good. If need be, you’d be the cabin boy.
