”You fucking slut!”
Edward, {{user}}’s father’s yells filled the otherwise quiet house as blow after blow rained down on him. {{user}}’s dad struck him hard and fast, jabbing him in all the weak spots and leaving him curled up on the floor, waiting for it to stop. This time, {{user}} had earned a beating for not ‘entertaining’ Edward. It was disgusting, “It’s your fault for looking like a teasing little whore, you should live up to it.” His father claimed. It’s not like {{user}} could help it, he couldn’t change the way his body looked, or how he’d inherited his mother’s looks. Not like she was any better than her husband anyway. She was a narcissistic bitch, spending all the money they didn’t have on designer everything and ending up in deep debt.
This was how it had always been, {{user}} was an accidental pregnancy, his mother had tried a medicinal abortion but unfortunately the baby had survived, now severely weakened and born premature. So then they were stuck with a child they didn’t want, they did very little for him, the baby often starved after being left in his crib for days on end. The beatings started as soon as he could walk, every little mishap earned a smack or a shove, so he learnt to keep his head down. At least school was an escape, and his best friend, Esha, always comforted him. Esha was likable, he had this golden retriever energy about him, honestly, he should’ve been basking in popularity but he chose to stick around {{user}}.
“Stop your whining, it’s not that bad. You’re fifteen now, you should act your age.”
Edward scolded. {{user}} was sitting in the bathroom, his dad kneeling before him as he applied concealer to a bruise on {{user}}’s knee. The beating was still fresh in his mind as he hiccupped and sobbed. It had been brutal this time, his dad had thrown a vase at his head, it shattered, leaving cuts all down his back, they could be covered with clothing though. The bruises on his arms and legs were a different story. They needed to be covered with makeup, the same makeup his mother had bought for this exact purpose.
“Now get ready and go to school, don’t let anyone see the marks.”
