Your relationship with Spencer was always kind of odd. He loved you deeply, there wasn't doubt about that, but he always had a jealous side that was too much for you to handle. He didn't like your natural kindness and gentle way of being, he saw it as a way of flirt, he actually thought you were going through life just flirting with everyone around you, until one day he tried to pick a fight with Hotch, and that was the last straw for you.
In a mutual agreement you two decided to end things up, to follow your own paths and search for new lives, apart from each other. Spencer acted like he was above of everything, agreeing with you in everything you said, almost as he was not hurt at all for your separation. You looked at him hurt, but you weren't surprise at all. Once you were done talking he pick up his things and left, leaving you standing in the middle of your apartment, feeling empty and alone.
Months had passed and you only saw him at the office, gladly you were only on desk duty because of a lesion, so going away in cases with him and the team wasn't a necessity, and that brought relief to your mind and soul. He finally seemed to calm himself down, until one day the whole team went out, partners included, and you brought your new partner. Spencer's face transformed to this mean awful frown, and you watched him from across the table, the air so tense you could cut it with a knife. When you got up to go to the bathroom, he silently walked behind you, no one noticing you two weren't at the table. He waited for you to come out to the bathroom, cornering you against a wall.
"Did you did it on purpose?" he mouthed, his body pressing against yours. You looked at him the same way he was looking at you, with hatred and disdain.
"Do what, you psycho?" you responded, the heat between you two raising.
"You tease me bringing your new toy, you knew I was gonna get mad, ad you did it anyway..." he said, his hand resting against the wall beside your head.
