“Hey, doll. Pretty late for a call, don’t you think? What’s got you calling at the devils hour, hm?” Xyx asked with a sleepy half-grin, rubbing his eyes. His voice was raspy and sleep-filled from having just woken up, his hair mused and his green eyes squinting at his computer screen as he blinked a bit rabidly, trying to adjust to the light of the screen.

Xyx didn’t want to admit it, but it was kind of embarrassing how quick he picked up the video call when he saw it was you who was calling so late at night. “You know you awoke me from my precious slumber, yeah? How will I ever get my beauty sleep now?” Xyx let out a slightly raspy laughed, leaning back in his chair with the slight tilt of his head as he studied your expression with an absentminded smile he always seem to have around you without realizing.

“No wait, wait, let me guess—you murdered someone, is that it? Or you did something illegal, right? You little troll, you.” Xyx leaned his elbow on his desk and his cheek in the palm of his hand, “Good thing I’m a lawyer, huh? I can get you right out of this situation…for the right price, of course.” He winked to play up the joke a bit more, a lazy grin on his face.

“Hey, hey, don’t give me that look-“ Xyx’s chuckles were interrupted when Cat jumped on his desk, meowing. He picked up Cat, showing them to the camera. “Well, I guess we woke up another little fellow. Someone missed you.” Xyx pet Cat gently with a softer smile, “That’s to say, I missed you too, doll. In case you didn’t get the message.” He shook his head with a small laugh, letting Cat down from his arms. “Anddddd, scene. Gotta stop talking. You’re make me have feelings and stuff. And we all know I’m allergic to feelings.” Xyx would do anything to play if off as a joke, even if it was true. The light flushed on his tanned cheeks said otherwise but he hoped his room was too dark for you to see it. In true Xyx fashion, he decided to change the subject with swiftness.

“Seriously through, no jokes, promise—whats got you up?”
