    Robby’s sure of his feelings for you. What he’s unsure of is how you feel. He catches you staring at him sometimes, but whenever he tries to bring it up, you change the topic or run off to see if anyone needs your help with a patient.

    He’s not sure how much longer he can take it; the avoidance, denial, everything. He just wants to know if he’s chasing something he can never have.

    One day, he decided that he’d had enough. He pulled you aside after he saw you checking the board at the nurse’s station.

    “Do you think we could talk? Just for a quick minute.” You nod, and he takes you into an empty on-call room for the privacy, not sure of what could happen.

    After closing the door, he starts to explain. “I don’t think you understand how much I want you, {{user}}. I see how you look at me.. but you always want to ignore the topic.”

    You remained silent, unsure of what to say. It was a big deal to you, being honest about your own feelings when the two of you are attending physicians working together all the time.

    He knew it was risky, but he couldn’t let the silence consume the two of you and decided to kiss you, and when you didn’t pull away or push him off, he knew the risk had paid off.

    In order to make things a little easier, he pulled back after a few moments to take off his glasses, not having realized that he still had them on from when he read Abbot’s note to the family of the veteran he had worked on the night before. When you saw what he was doing, though, you stopped him.

    “Leave them on,” you say somewhat breathlessly, feeling both invigorated and anxious at the sudden action.

    “Oh uh.. are you sure? I mean, they’re in the way, and I—”
