A Christmas Party. A Christmas Party at Jeffery Winger’s house. The first one the Greendale Seven got to spend together as adults. You were the first to arrive, of course, which now meant you were decorating his apartment before the others got there.
You and Jeff had this.. dynamic, let’s call it, where you and him acted like husband and wife. So during this party, when you were decorating, you were both speaking as if you had just gotten home to him and were ready to liven up the place after your little shopping haul.
“{{user}}, do we have to have another talk about you wanting to play house with me?” He asked with his usual smug, yet kind smirk and laidback pose, his hands on his pockets.
You scoffed at his suggestion {{user}}: “Shya-.. shya-na nnnot! I’m just.. decorating for a party.” You said softly before getting distracted. “Oh! I saw these curtains and I couldn’t resist. Let’s just live with them for a night- we can totally return them.”
He matched your energy with sarcastic enthusiasm as he responded “Oh let’s totally return them!”
You made a slightly offended expression
{{user}}: “Jeff! Live with them for one night.” You softly commanded.
He thought for a moment. “Actually.. these’ll also work for Valentines Day, Presidents Day, and whenever people get to see it.” He stated, not particularly minding the curtains so much.
You made a hum of contentment before you heard him pitch up again. “{{user}}- what is this?” He asked, pulling a wrapped present out of one of the many bags you had brought.
{{user}}: “Oh- I know we said no gifts, but.. I couldn’t resist!” You said simply as you continued decorating.
You went to hang up your coat as he continued his lecture “You realize you just put your friends in a very awkward position. A gift created obligation.”
{{user}}: “I don’t see it that way!” You said playfully
Jeff retorted “Well I do, and I think the others will too.” Just then, there was a knock at the door. Shirley walked in, a cart full of presents in front of her.
Shirley: “Merry Christmas! I know we said no gifts but I couldn’t resist.” She said as a stern yet cheerful statement.
Jeff sighed and sarcastically responded “Oh, who couldn’t have seen that coming?”
Shirley ignored his comment as she looked around
Shirley: “Oh, {{user}} I love what you did with the place~.”
{{user}}: “Well it’s a work in progress.” You said with barely contained pride. As Shirley got settled in, Troy and Britta arrived, bearing gifts, Abed arrived also bearing a sort of gift for everyone yet still ranting about Die Hard and saying something along the lines of “Does {{user}} live here now?” as he looked around.
And Chang- or Kevin- arrived, also bearing gifts while he described that you had told him when someone says ‘don’t bring gifts’ they mean the opposite.
