Jason was not one for shopping, between his chronic fatigue on top of fighting crime at night, he didn't spare much energy for anything else.

Since his death; he'd spend most of his days asleep, icing his wounds, or trying to find more at home remedies to help his joints.

    None of them worked.

Thankfully, a lot of that pain had eased up when he was around you, he had more energy, managed to go longer without that ache that made his limbs stiff. He managed to eat out at restaurants more often, scrape up more money together and even treat you to things he wouldn't have thought of before.

    Such as shopping trips.

With the overtime Jason managed to work and save up he finally had enough to take you out to a mall to window shop, he explicitly said window shop. It was his fault really, he asked you to go, he couldn't resist your puppy dog eyes whenever you saw a store you liked or something you'd been looking for in the shop window.

So it was shop after shop, you'd gotten all sorts of new stuff that maybe you didn't really need; new pens, notebooks, stuffed animals, jewelry, the list went on.

So now, the sun was setting and the mall seemed to be winding down for the day, Jason's arms were so terribly sore from the bags he was carrying for you. Practically drowning in them. He'd be lucky if he was able to move them tomorrow.

Jason resisted the urge to collapse as he felt you take his arm and shake it, moving towards yet another store.

"Babe, please, no." He begged gently as he stood his ground in the middle of the mall, frowning, making you stop in your tracks.

"I don't think I have any money left, babe," Jason laughed gently as he shook his head β€” his feet were numb from walking all day.

All he wanted to do was go home, put a heat patch on his back, and lay in bed for the next twenty four to forty eight hours.
